Activist De Bouse Leaves Wisdom to Future Generations: Trust Your First Instinct

American Activist Greshun De Bouse is an icon, a one-of-a-kind individual that this world is blessed to have had grace it with her undeniable strength and powerful presence for a time. While De Bouse has made her tremendous mark on the world during her lifetime, she still emphasizes the importance of leaving something of substance to the next generation. De Bouse communicates,

If there is one miniscule piece of wisdom I can leave with persons at the end of my journey here, it is to trust your first instinct. God gave us all that internal compass to aid in prudent decision-making, and to circumvent needless pitfalls. True leadership entails confidently trusting one’s instinct, making a decision, and unwaiveringly standing on that decision.

Recently honored by T-Mobile and Patch for her extraordinary work and achievements, De Bouse has done enough good for such a vast number of persons to last a lifetime. Even now that Activist De Bouse has developed a very rare voice condition that has rendered her unable to speak, she still is a strong force with a golden heart.

When asked how she remains so grounded, given how extraordinary she is, De Bouse communicates,

I liken myself unto Jesus as relates to His heart of compassion, how He always considered the people, and how he always was readily available to help them-from healing, to feeding, and more. Jesus didn’t need a fanfare; people just knew there was something different, extraordinary about Him. God gave me the heart to do what I do from the heart.

Concerning being recently recognized by T-Mobile and Patch, De Bouse communicated,

Recognition is fine, and I do believe in giving persons their flowers while they live. But ultimately, only what you do for Christ will last.

Activist De Bouse now communicates via a Speech Assistant, ASL, text/type, or writing. When we asked her how it feels to have such a powerful voice, but now be unable to speak, De Bouse communicated,

It is definitely an adjustment process, but I really do not relish persons making a big fuss over me in that way. I like to be self-sufficient, and rely on others as least as possible. Still, I am grateful for the other forms of communication available to me, and I appreciate the patience of all as I adjust to my new normal.

This world definitely is better for having had American Activist Greshun De Bouse in it, and she left us with three simple words when asked how she would like to be remembered,

I WAS HERE.
